A new structure for leadership at Cafe Church
In 2004, the Cafe Church community dissolved its existing Leadership Teams in favor of a structure that more closely reflects our vision for the community.
This is a vision in which:
Everyone is Valued
People are welcome to be involved in the community in any way they wish, from simply gracing us with their presence on Sunday nights, to contributing valuable skills and resources to the community.
Decentralised Leadership
Everyone has the opportunity to engage in leadership, and be empowered to contribute their particular skills and passions for the community.
Access to Resources
Everyone in the community has access to the community's resources, and is empowered to use them to pursue our Mission Priorities.
Transparency in Communication and Decision-Making
You don't have to be part of the 'inner circle' to know what's going on. It is clear to everyone what initiatives are taking place, who is in positions of leadership, how they can influence proceedings, etc.
At every level of leadership in the community, it is the mysterious but palpable presence of God that guides us in all our dreams and actions.
